The use of CO2 with this fixture is not mandatory, but to operate without it, then a greater distance of the canopy from the light is recommended, ensuring optimal PPFD levels according to the phase of growth. Using the latter method, the expected optimal coverage area is up to 1.8×1.8m, but with lower PPFD intensity concentration levels. The use of carbon dioxide (CO2) as a supplement in a controlled environment can significantly improve crop yields when used correctly. In general, a good rule of thumb is that once you exceed 1000 µmol/s/m2 PPFD, you should be 1:1 with CO2 PPM - up to 1500. So at most PPFD = 1500 µmol/s/m2, CO2 would be 1500 PPM (a little lower, 1400 PPM may be safest to start with). The new line of Zeus is built using high quality Lumatek drivers and latest generation top bin LEDs from Lumileds Philips and Osram, generating a full spectrum light source ideal for veg and flowering cycles. Another new feature of this line is the Clear Glue protective cover technology on the LED bars; the result is a higher light transmittance of 99% without light loss, a longer life of the diodes, a higher resistance to corrosion and a high waterproof IP65. For basic maintenance, just wipe the bars with wet cotton. For different cultivars, propagation periods and vegetative growth, the Zeus can be dimmed without losing efficiency. High-efficiency, low-power LED configuration with 10 LED bars reduces LED temperature while increasing output and improving light retention. The Zeus fixture can also be controlled externally with a Lumatek digital lighting controller (Digital Panel Plus 2.0) with light timing, automatic dimming (1% increments), temperature safety control, sunrise and sunset modes for up to of 100 fixtures per controller. Compatibility with universal control systems Lumatek Zeus LED luminaires can be fully controlled with the Lumatek Digital Panel Plus 2.0 or any other control system using 0-10V output signal. Even if your universal controller has an RJ port interface, you can still run our LEDs using an RJ signal converter to 0-10V control adapter.
